Am 3. Februar 2022 verstarb nach langer Krankheit Johannes Schlösser im Alter von nur 68 Jahren. Die Schützenbruderschaft St. Johannes Oberense verliert mit Johannes Schlösser einen aktiven Schützen, der sich in vielfältiger Weise für die Entwicklung der Bruderschaft eingesetzt hat. Nach längerer Tätigkeit im Vorstand hat er die Bruderschaft dann 12 Jahre als Brudermeister geführt, wobei in diesen Jahren viele wichtige Renovierungsarbeiten an unserer Schützenhalle umgesetzt wurden. Ein Höhepunkt in dieser Zeit war sicherlich auch das Jubiläums-Schützenfest zum 175-jährigen Bestehen im Jahr 1999.
Johannes war für „seine“ Schützen aber auch überregional aktiv. So bekleidete er mehrere Jahre das Amt des stellvertretenden Bezirksbundesmeisters, und auch auf der Ebene der Diözese übernahm er die Position des stellvertretenden Diözesan-Bundesmeisters. Er begründete mit seinem Engagement die Öffnung der Bruderschaft für die überregionalen Aktivitäten der Bruderschaft, so dass ihm bis heute mehrere Schützenbrüder in überregionale Ämter nachgefolgt sind.
Für seine Leistungen für die Schützenbruderschaft wurde Johannes Schlösser zum Ehrenbrudermeister ernannt, zudem wurde ihm das Schulterband zum Sebastianus Ehrenkreuz verliehen.
Neben seinem Engagement war ihm aber auch die Entwicklung der anderen Vereine unseres Kirchspiels wichtig. Er förderte die Zusammenarbeit der regionalen Vereine des Kirchspiels und unterstützte als Ratgeber und Gönner.
Johannes Schlösser war auch sehr erfolgreich in seinem beruflichen Wirken. Seine Unternehmen Esjot und Gottschalk etablierten sich unter seiner Führung als stabile Arbeitgeber in der Gemeinde Ense. Für diese Leistungen wurde er im Jahr 2005 der erste Initiativpreisträger des Initiativkreis Ense.
Unsere Gedanken sind in diesen Tagen bei seiner Familie. Wir werden seinen Wunsch folgend für ihn immer einen Platz in unserer Mitte haben, von ihm erzählen und uns dabei an die gemeinsamen fröhlichen Stunden erinnern.
